In the last few days it has been announced which films for which Oscars 2023 were nominated. One of the big surprises this year is a German film that is being entered in nine categories: “Nothing new in the West”.

Shortly after the desegregation of the military, the unlikely pair of Jesse and Tom fought side-by-side in the Korean War, becoming the most famous flying duo in US Navy history.
