After breaking his electronic bracelet to end his house arrest, a 20-year-old young man again escaped from the gendarmerie where he had been detained.

In the town of Chauvigny (Vienna), a 20-year-old young man ended his detention twice in the space of three days, reports The New Republic.

Known for various acts of delinquency by the police, he had been placed at the end of 2022 in house arrest, with the obligation to wear an electronic bracelet, following a car theft.

While his sentence extended until next May, he escaped by breaking the monitoring device.

Sentenced to 16 months in prison

Friday, the gendarmes of the city end up getting their hands on the fugitive, and place him in detention in the premises of the gendarmerie. But, during the night, the young delinquent escapes again, by breaking a window which was devoid of bars. In his flight, he seizes the keys to the premises, but also the keys to a car. Saturday afternoon, he is caught up again.

The double fugitive was finally presented to a judge on Monday in immediate appearance. He was sentenced to 16 months in prison for his various offenses and imprisoned.
