Between 2007 and 2017 Naughty Dog brought new games to the Uncharted series. Started with Uncharted: Drake’s Destiny for PS3 to the finale of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End in 2016, action-adventure was one of the studio’s flagships. Not to mention the spin-off called The Lost Legacy and the one released in 2022 Legacy of Thieves Collection, which has landed on PS5 and PC. And that’s it for good with Naughty Dog’s Uncharted!

In the current interview with BuzzFeed has Neil Druckmann not only about the adaptation of The Last of Us, but also talked about the future of Uncharted. Apparently, fans shouldn’t get their hopes up for another part of Naughty Dog: “For us, Uncharted has been extremely successful – Uncharted 4 has been one of our best-selling games. And we’ve been able to put the finishing touches to the story and say we’re done. We’re moving on.” says Neil Druckmann in an interview.

New studio for Uncharted?

Of course, that doesn’t mean that Uncharted won’t play a role at Sony at all from now on. Recently there have already been rumors about one Reboot of the series, which a new studio is said to be busy with. However, this has not yet been confirmed. As early as 2011, Uncharted: Golden Abyss was released as a non-Naughty Dog offshoot. The game for the PS Vita is at Bend Studio emerged some time ago also for Days Gone were responsible.

What about The Last of Us Part 3?
