200 rallies are planned throughout France, Tuesday, February 7, against the pension reform.
In Poitiers (Vienne), Tuesday, February 7, the mobilization against the pension reform should be down. 8,000 people are expected in the streets of the city. This is much less than January 31, during the last mobilization, where 15,000 people marched, according to the CGT. Same phenomenon expected in Châtellerault, a very industrial city, located 40 kilometers from Poitiers. There should be half as many people as last week.
The very disrupted TGV network
A less strong mobilization which is partly explained by the calendar: we are at the beginning of the school holidays. Fewer young people are expected in the processions. On the other hand, major disruptions are to be expected on the TGV network towardsWest : in the direction of Poitiers from Paris, only one train will run all day, explains the journalist from France Télévisions, Claire Blondiaux, live from Poitiers.
