A posadeño was the victim of an attempted murder yesterday morning, after two men on a motorcycle approached him at his home and shot several times with a firearm. Fortunately, the man only had abrasions and is out of danger. The victim was identified as José Lorenzo A. (35) and although the investigation is just beginning, police and judicial investigations consider that the criminals went to attempt his life or at least to scare him, ruling out in principle a motorcycle attack. .

It is that the complainant had already been attacked at his home in November of last year, when unknown persons threw a kind of grenade with pepper spray that filled his home with smoke. As El Territorio was able to reconstruct based on different sources, the event occurred around 8 o’clock on Ramírez street in the Papini neighborhood of the provincial capital, near San Martín avenue. The sequence was fully recorded by the complainant’s security cameras.

The first to go to the scene were the members of the Second Police Station, with jurisdiction in the area. Before the uniformed officers, the man, who is a pharmacist and would have a drugstore, stated that he was opening the garage gate to enter his home when he was attacked. He was coming back from taking his partner to work.

In detail, he said that the alleged hitmen were on a 125 cc motorcycle, and that one of them got off near the place and walked up to the two-story building. Apparently, the barking of the dogs warned the pharmacist of danger, so he looked back and noticed that the threat was walking with a weapon in hand and a helmet on.

Shots were fired at the complainant’s gate and truck.

Then the shots began and the man, who came to seek refuge, was shot in the arm, with an entry and exit hole but that did not generate any vascular or nervous compromise, the sources consulted said. A bullet also grazed him at the height of the ribs, generating only excoriations.

Another bullet hit his truck and two hit the gate, for which four shots were fired. No shell casings were found at the scene, so the offender used a low-caliber revolver, possibly a 22.

The injured man was transferred to the Madariaga Hospital, where he was kept under observation, although he is out of danger. What transpired is that before the uniformed men, the man gave some inconsistent versions about who could be responsible for the attack, pointing out a bad deal as a background. Details are being kept confidential so as not to hinder the investigation.

In this context, although the first thing that was ruled out was a motorcycle attack and the main hypothesis is that it was an attack by hitmen, the investigations do not rule out that it was a squeeze. “If they wanted to kill him, they could do it, the man came walking armed and did not say a word before shooting,” a source of weight speculated – more or less words.

Investigations and background

Given the seriousness of the event at the site, authorities from the Court and the Seis de Posadas Investigation Prosecutor’s Office were present, in charge of Judge Ricardo Balor and Prosecutor René Casals respectively. Also authorities of the Regional Unit I, Complex Investigations and the directions of the Scientific Police, Homicide and Cybercrime, among others.

The rigorous tests were carried out, testimonials were collected in the area and material was extracted from security cameras of the home and the area. There, the first weighty element was detected: through the filming, it was possible to reconstruct that after the attack the criminals found it difficult to start the motorcycle and they even had to push it to leave the scene.

Another security camera from a nearby business, meanwhile, recorded how the driver -who changed his shirt- finally abandoned the motorcycle, which was kidnapped by the Police. The motorcycle had been reported stolen last year and was also subjected to rigorous examinations.

However, what caught the investigators’ attention the most was a recent attack on the victim.

The event occurred three months ago, on November 13 of last year, although the formal complaint was made the following day. The pharmacist said that around 11 p.m. he was sleeping when he unexpectedly heard a loud noise in his room.

He recounted that the place was immediately filled with smoke, so he quickly left the house. On the sidewalk there were already three private security guards, who came when they saw what was happening.

According to his testimony, one of them stated that moments before he had seen a man wearing a helmet stop on foot on the spot and throw an explosive towards the house. Then this person, who was wearing shorts and whom he described as skinny, ran out onto San Martín Avenue.

In the distance it was heard that a motorcycle started up and accelerated rapidly, so they presume that they were waiting for it to flee.

Beyond the fright and suffocation, no one was injured since the complainant is the only one who lives in the place. As detailed at the scene, a tear gas hand grenade type aerosol was found with the inscription “Military Factory”. She was kidnapped by order of the authorities of the First Investigating Court, in charge of Judge Marcelo Cardozo, who is handling the case.

At the scene, images from the victim’s security cameras were seized and incorporated into the file. Regarding the victim, he then said that she had no problems with anyone, something that has now changed. Apparently, whoever wanted to leave that message came back yesterday.
