The country’s infrastructure was also affected by the catastrophe, which has caused damage to 4,522 houses, three schools, 13 bridges and six government facilities. The damage caused is estimated at more than 1,130 million Philippine pesos (more than 20 million dollars).

The agricultural sector has also been hit by the disaster, with estimated economic losses of 234 million pesos (more than 4 million dollars).

Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos declared that “unfortunately, the rains continue,” so vigilance will be strengthened in other regions of the country.
