A Cessna-type plane fell on a property at the Estrella ranch, southeast of Reynosa, Tamaulipas, saving the life of the young pilot who maneuvered the forced landing after the failure of the twin engine.

The event occurred at the bottom of Colonia Los Fresnos, around 4:10 p.m.

The aircraft, registration N31OLH, was following the Monterrey-McAllen route when the pilot, who identified himself as Adrián López Chávez, noticed that the left engine was losing revolutions.

He immediately contacted the Reynosa Airport Control Tower at the same time that the right engine also lost power, for which he received a suggestion to find a place to land.

After the incident, federal agents, the military and the State and Republic Attorney General’s Offices arrived at the scene to guard the crashed aircraft while experts from the Public Ministry were reviewing it.

The pilot, who suffered abrasions on his hands and minor blows, indicated that he had been hired for a processing protocol, because the plane is American and would be Mexican nationalized to operate as an air taxi.
