After some time, the developer studio Niantic another update for the still very popular mobile game Pokemon Go released. The patch on Version 0.261 is not overly extensive, but still has some interesting changes to offer. We introduce you to some of the highlights.

The new update mainly takes care of some annoying bugs, which players have had to deal with, especially in the recent past. That shouldn’t happen anymore from now on Mega Bibor simply disappears or becomes invisible once its Mega Evolution is complete. So far, this has caused some problems. In addition, it is now possible for the trainers, even then field research tasks to accept when their pocket is actually full. Furthermore, the update includes numerous assets that the game for the Hoenn tour needed. We have summarized all changes in an overview for you.

- Trainers can now pick up Field Research tasks even with a full item bag.

Bugs fixed
- Mega Beedrill should no longer disappear / become invisible if Beedrill is Mega Evolved. Prior to 261, Mega Beedrill’s assets were missing from the game. (asset redownload required)
- Mega Alakazam’s sprite was not visible in the Pokedex due to a missing sprite asset. Now renders properly.
New issues
- Trainers are required to redownload game assets for the Mega Beedrill fix to be properly applied. We strongly suggest that you do so, but only on WiFi, since the downloaded assets size is 847 MB (may be lower for you, depends on which assets you already have on your device).

Aside from the new update, Pokémon Go fans can expect a lot more in the coming weeks. So falls on January 27, 2023 the starting signal for the high voltage event, which will run until February 5th.
