A seven-month-old baby who could not breathe and was convulsing in his mother’s arms in the center of Posadas, was revived by two members of the Misiones Police who intervened in the event.

While the little boy was transferred in the patrol car, the agents performed resuscitation maneuvers on him, managing to stabilize him before reaching the hospital.

According to what was reported by police sources, the intervention occurred around 2:00 p.m., when the 911 emergency system alerted the downtown units that, on Sarmiento and Junín streets, a mother with her baby in her arms was asking for help. I couldn’t breathe.

Quickly, Assistant Officer Juan Carlos Gómez and Assistant Sergeant Raúl Alberto Martínez in a patrol from the First Police Station went to the site, where they saw the anguished mother. Then, the baby underwent first aid maneuvers to revive and stabilize him before arriving at the hospital.

Subsequently, the little boy was transferred together with his mother to the Pediatric Hospital, where he was cared for by professional Public Health personnel. Hours later, they reported that the child was in a condition to be discharged, since the studies confirmed his good health.
