A suspect in connection with a homicide in Providence, Rhode Island, was found hiding in a closet under a staircase, the Providence Police Department announced Thursday.

When police arrested Kevin Girón Wednesday at a house on Union Avenue, he was trying to hide in a closet full of, according to WJAR.

He was taken into custody without incident after a multi-day manhunt, it was said.

This is the most recent information provided by authorities about Giron, who is accused of fatally shooting 19-year-old Juan Carlo Morales Saturday night at John Donigian Park.

Colonel Oscar Perez said his department partnered with state police and federal agencies to conduct an investigation and surveillance.

On Monday, police closed Hudson Street in Providence for hours after receiving a tip that it was nearby.

As it turned out, there was no one in the house.

Police believe a personal dispute led to the shooting.
