After the launch of the PSP in 2005 and the PS Vita in 2011, Sony must return to the segment of portable consoles with the new project that is being developed under the codename “Q-Lite”, but whose design will be very different from the predecessors. And new information now details the availability and price of the accessory, which will arrive alongside more products for the PlayStation 5 line later this year.

According to the informant Tom Henderson, sources connected to the industry anticipate that the Sony Q-Lite will be launched next month of November alongside two wireless headphones (one earbuds and one headset) dedicated to the company’s consoles and a revised PS5 with removable disk player.

It is also said that the Q-Lite will cost approximately US$ 200, about R_jobs(data.content)nbsp;1,020 in conversion, and that the device would basically be a DualSense controller with a large screen in the center.

Unlike today’s main portable consoles like the Nintendo Switch and Steam Deck, the Q-Lite shouldn’t run games natively. Instead, the device will rely on a PlayStation 5 to play games via streaming (streaming), using the console at home to send data to the portable connected to a stable and high-speed wireless network.

We don’t know if Sony is preparing to launch a new streaming service similar to Microsoft’s Xbox Cloud Gaming, where you can play games without having a physical console, to complement PS Remote Play on the Q-Lite.

More details related to Sony’s future portable console should emerge in the coming months as we approach its official release expected towards the end of the year.
