If all goes as planned, Bethesda’s latest blockbuster Starfield will be released this year after being in development for at least six years, and expectations are, to say the least, high for the sci-fi role-playing game. Whether it will live up to these expectations remains to be seen but it seems that those who have tested the game are impressed with it.

According to rumors, those tasked with testing Starfield have been surprised by how much bigger and more ambitious the game is than they first expected. This is according to the insider colteastwood who revealed details of how the tests went recently in an episode of the podcast XNC Podcast. He says, among other things, that Starfield is bigger than anything Bethesta ever did in Skyrim and that they took everything they did in Fallout and Skyrim and raised the bar a few more notches.

This is consistent with what Bethesda themselves said about Starfield, they have emphasized several times that it is the biggest project they have ever worked on. Bethesda has also confirmed that the game’s main quest will be about 20% larger than in previous titles. For example, there should be 250,000 lines with dialogue loaded.

Since it is not confirmed information from official sources, you have to take it all with a grain of salt as usual, but it is probably a rumor that really makes it tickle a bit.

Do you think the rumors are true and that Starfield is just as big and ambitious as Bethesda promised?

Those who have tested Starfiled so far seem to be very impressed with what Bethesda has accomplished.
