A complete overhaul for Resident Evil 4
While Resident Evil Village is offering a brand new free PS VR 2 update, fans of the license have had their eyes riveted on Resident Evil 4 for the past few months. Acclaimed when it was released in 2005, Capcom’s game is preparing its big return, no less than 18 years later, having benefited in passing from a complete graphic overhaul to fill our 4K consoles and our retinas, like Resident Evil 2 and 3 before it.
Obviously, despite a complete renewal, both in substance and in form, Resident Evil 4 will (re) immerse us in the skin of agent Leon S. Kennedy, who will have to investigate in Spain the disappearance of the daughter of the President of the United States. We will find this gameplay there “third person” so characteristic at the time, which will however benefit from many modern adjustments, to optimize the gaming experience.
When is Resident Evil 4 Remake coming out?
Officialized in June 2022, during a PlayStation State of Play meeting, Resident Evil 4 Remake will be available from this March 24, 2023.

Unlike other upcoming titles (like Star Wars Jedi Survivor to name a few), Resident Evil 4 Remake hasn’t suffered the slightest delay, with Capcom obviously being a master in terms of remakes and schedules for a few years.

Be careful not to confuse this upcoming remake with the HD port of Resident Evil 4, launched on PS4 in 2016.
Resident Evil 4 Remake, price and collector’s edition
As far as prices are concerned, the latest from Capcom is officially priced at € 69.99 on PlayStation 5 as on Xbox Series X, for its Standard version. The Deluxe version, which allows you to take advantage of various Bonus content (new outfits for Léon and Ashley, sunglasses for Léon, special weapons Sentinel Nine and Skull Shaker, etc.) and the DLC pack, is offered at 79.99 euros.

At the time of its release, in 2005, the game had marked a turning point in the saga, notably abandoning the zombies for a sect called “Los Illuminados“. To this was added a new perspective of play and a more assertive action side. Not enough to deprive the game of praise when it was released, Resident Evil 4 being considered by many players as one of the best opuses in the saga… even one of the best games of all time. Suffice to say that this remake is particularly awaited.
