The Migration Policy Unit, Registry and Identity of Persons, of the Ministry of the Interior, announced that during the first two months of the year, 43,152 events of return of Mexican men and women from the United States which represents 41.75% more, compared to the same two-month period of 2022.
Of the total events registered, more than half (55.30%) of the total cases occurred during February (23,860); while 19,292 events (44.70%) were registered in January. According to the information published by the Migration Policy Unit of the Ministry of the Interior, the entities of origin of people with the most repatriation events are: Chiapas, oaxaca, Puebla, veracruz and Guanajuato.
