Search for suspect in sexual assault of 10-year-old child in Arlington

The Arlington Police are on the trail of the suspect of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old Hispanic girl inside her home.

The man allegedly entered through the front door of the apartment located in Ballston Park on North Glebe Road. According to the victim’s relatives, after the alleged attack, the individual returned to ask the girl to leave with him.

For her part, Arlington Police spokeswoman Ashley Savage said that incidents like this are very worrying to them as they have an individual forcing their way into a residence and then sexually assaulting the victim.

The official added that she was deploying a series of resources to investigate the case.

The suspect was described by authorities as a white or Hispanic male between the ages of 25 and 45 with dark hair and wearing a white t-shirt and light-colored shorts.

For some members of the community, this is something never seen before.

“It is something worrying, because that had never been heard here,” said Elías Robando.

“It is true, it scares one, because sometimes one is alone in the house. I am a woman and I am here, I have no family,” said a resident who preferred not to be identified.

The authorities insist that getting people like this attacker off the street is more than necessary, so if you have information that could lead to his capture, do not hesitate to contact the Arlington Police at (866) 411-8477.
