In 2021, the mini-series Star Wars: Visions told nine independent, self-contained stories in the Star Wars universe. The special thing about it: Each episode was implemented by a different anime studio. At the beginning of May, Disney+ will finally start the second season, which is now much more international. The first trailer for Season 2 of the animated series Star Wars: Visions is here and makes it clear that it will once again stick to the original concept of the successful first season. While only well-known Japanese animation studios such as Production IG or Trigger were allowed to put their stamp on the science fiction universe in this one, studios from all over the world are now involved in the second round.

The best-known representatives are probably the British claymation studio Aardman (Wallace & Gromit, Shaun the Sheep) and the Korean studio Mir (The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms), and there are also other contributions by Studio La Cachette (France), Cartoon Saloon (Ireland), El Guiri (Spain), Punkrobot (Chile), 88 Pictures (India), Triggerfish (South Africa) and D’Art Shtajio (Japan/USA).

Season 2 of Star Wars: Visions premieres May 4, 2023 on Disney+.
