MIAMI.- The therapist sexual and author of three books Karen Uribarri presents the exhibition Ertica in Miami Art Week 2023.

For the same reason, I wanted to capture in my works that eroticism that everyone knows, but that is not all that is erotic. Although eroticism is the capacity that each of us has for sexual enjoyment, it is also an attitude towards life that requires opening the senses to experience sensations that cause satisfaction, well-being, pleasure and the search for experiences, which can be shared. with a partner or alone,” the Chilean therapist stated in a statement.
The art and eroticism of the therapist
According to Karen Uribarri, eroticism can be seen from something completely innocent, such as a deep and sustained look at an unexpected moment, such as passing by the desired person and whispering something sensual in their ear, gently touching them, to something deeply intimate and sexual, such as nudity, latex seduction and power play in bed.
“For all this we can say that eroticism is more of a cultural behavior than a sexual one. And that is precisely what I wanted to convey in these works. In addition to my interest in underlining the fine difference between the pornographic and the erotic. Many believe that this is what same, but eroticism is a type of art that hints, that whispers in a low voice and that even uncovers some hidden fantasies of the human being,” the expert explained.
“Those fantasies are the ones that I captured with mixed technique on these canvases through the emotion and intimacy of the silent secrets of my patients,” he added.
