Sharit is a platform that allows people who subscribe to online services (Netflix, Spotify, etc.) to pool their subscription with other users for a fee.

With the proliferation of online service offers (Amazon Prime Video, Deezer, Disney+, etc.), and the increase in subscription prices, users find themselves forced to arbitrate or pay ever more.

In this context, and to limit their expenses, the Sharit platform, launched in 2022, connects individuals, whose subscription offers the possibility of having several user accounts, to people who wish to subscribe to the service in question. .

“As a ‘Sharer’, you share your subscription. You offer your seats on your subscription and our platform finds you ‘Takers’, people who want to take one of the seats available on your account. They will subscribe to the one of your subscriptions and pay you each month for it”, explains to Tech&Co, Maxime Ponsar, president and co-founder of Sharit.

Music, press, video games…

In fact, the subscription paid by the “Sharers” then costs them less because it is partly subsidized by the “Takers” who pay them a few euros. In detail, “you will be paid 4.50 euros per seat for a Netflix Premium subscription at 18 euros per month for four users”, indicates Maxime Ponsar.

For his part “the ‘Taker’ will pay five euros in commission over the year. But, on the other hand, he will save a few hundred euros on his various subscriptions”. Because in addition to SVOD, with Netflix or even Disney+, Sharit also makes it possible to share press subscriptions, music (Spotify, Deezer), video games or even software. Nearly one hundred types of subscriptions are available.

“Account sharing has existed for about ten years. We want to put a framework around this so that things go well and that we can automate the payment and subscription processes”, underlines Maxime Ponsar.
