Jalisco.- A new shooting between members of organized crime shook the main streets of Encarnación de Díaz, Jalisco, this morning, in what was the third high-impact violent act that has been recorded in the Municipality so far this month.

This time there were no casualties, but authorities found eight damaged vehicles, one of which was completely burned.

According to unofficial reports, the bursts began to be heard minutes before 2:00 a.m. this Saturday, between Matamoros and Miguel Hidalgo, in the Barrio del Rosario neighborhood, where the epicenter of the conflict was.

There was a vehicle on fire along with a ballistic helmet, long weapons and chargers; a 94 Ram Charger pickup with two bullets; in addition to a Ram pick up with another couple of impacts and two Jettas: one that had between 30 and 40 bullet holes and another with approximately 20 holes.

The Encarnación City Hall is 1.4 kilometers from there, while the local Police is 1.8 kilometers away.

. Two blocks from Matamoros and Miguel Hidalgo, at Pariancito and Privada Pariancito, a 2016 Hilux with Aguascalientes license plates was found with at least 40 AR-15 shots and “goat horns”; and another truck of the same brand without license plates, model 2022, which had between 25 and 30 impacts.

Both vehicles had reports of theft.

In that same place there was also a 2004 Explorer with around 15 bullet holes.

The detonations were recorded in videos that neighbors began to spread on their social networks, while local media reported that there were homes that were affected by the shots.

When the police and military arrived, the protagonists of the conflict had already escaped.

This month “La Chona”, as the Municipality of Los Altos de Jalisco is known, has been the scene of two other high-impact events related to organized crime.

On April 14, the dismembered and burned bodies of three people were found between tires in the Rangel community, while on Friday, April 7, the deputy director of the Encarnación de Díaz Police, Jorge Antonio Lozano López, was murdered during a ambush that also claimed the life of his bodyguard and driver Gustavo Beristáin Morales.
