It is well known that the game of Simpsons: Hit and Run It is very loved by those who came to play it and even recently we saw that its fans formed a petition for a RemakeWell, there is still interest in it. While we wait for an official announcement, we bring you a fan-made remake of The Simpsons: Hit & Run, which is nearing completion.

The Simpsons: Hit & Run game originally came to the Nintendo Gamecube. PlayStation 2 and the first Xbox back in 2003, but we haven’t seen any official re-releases since. However, Reubs’ work shows us the potential for a remastering or remake for modern platforms, as the result is excellent.

On April 15, 2021, YouTube user reubs posted a video called “How I re-did The Simpsons Hit and Run in a week”, showing the process behind its one and a half year old remake. Joe McGinn, the lead designer of the original game, left a comment on the video acknowledging the amazing job reubs did.

Seven months ago reubs started a new series on his YouTube channel, called “Remaking The Simpsons Hit and Run”, where he has been showing the process behind his remake taken to the open world genre. The last video of this series was published 4 days ago and is called “The remake is almost finished”, where we can see the incredible work that reubs has done in the last year and a half.

Unfortunately it will not be possible to play the remake of The Simpsons: Hit & Run that reubs created, but the creator has clarified on multiple occasions that he will not share a link to download it since he does not want to get in trouble for the rights of the game. For this reason, fans are asking that when he finishes his remake, he uploads a video playing it from start to finish, in order to appreciate his work.
