The statement arrived on the official Sons of the Forest page on Steam, where the software house explained that some game mechanics are so complex that they require additional time so that they can be realized in their entirety. Not only that, it seems that the intention of the developers is to further expand the game with new objects, new mechanics and other elements that require extra work. Since such a choice would have led to another postponement of the release date, the decision was made to launch the game in early access on Steam next February 23, 2023.
