The year has barely started and Star+ already has a good list of series and movies coming to the streaming platform in January. The first month of 2023 brings original productions, in addition to films that barely left the cinema or were successful a few years ago.
The first highlight of the list of Star+ releases in January, therefore, is the film The menu, which opened in theaters in November. The feature film stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Ralph Fiennes and Nicholas Hoult and tells an intriguing story full of plot twists.
In the film, a group of wealthy people are gathered on a deserted island to experience an exotic menu from a renowned chef.
For sports lovers, the series premieres on Star+ in January Welcome to Wrexham, starring Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. The production, which even reminds a little Ted Lassoshows how Rob and Ryan bought the third oldest professional football team on the planet, learning to manage it from scratch.
The Star+ news list in January also features the feature Darby: The Sensitive Young Womanalso known as Darby and the Dead. The teen movie follows the story of Darby Harper (Riele Downs), a teenager who has supernatural gifts and learned to earn money by communicating with the dead.
Also coming to the Star+ catalog is the series koala manfrom the same creator of rick and morty. The cartoon accompanies the character Kevin, a father of a family already at a certain age who has another identity: that of a superhero. As Koala Man, he does everything he can to stop petty crimes happening in his town, Capto.
January also counts with the premiere of the season 16 of Real Housewives of New Jerseythe trilogy Jurassic Parkseason 3 of Tales from the Hoodamong other attractions.
