The Boroughs, this is the name of the new series that the Duffer brothers have just unveiled, and which will be broadcast on Netflix. This time, the latter are not the creators but we owe the scenario to Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews two showrunners already at work on Dark Crystal: Time of Resistancean excellent series (very surprising visually) already broadcast on the streaming platform in 2019.
If this project is promising, it is mainly thanks to the snippets of synopsis that we have seen. We will indeed follow the story of a community of retirees who live in the desert of New Mexico. The latter will have to unite to face a threat from another world that seeks to steal from them the only thing they lack: time.

The two creators add: “We’ve been fans of Jeff and Will’s writing for a long time, and when they pitched us their idea for The Boroughs, we immediately knew they had something very special on their hands”.
