MTA. Queensboro Plaza.

Changes to the city’s transportation system train service are scheduled for every weekend this month.

This is because the MTA continues with remodeling work at the Queensboro Plaza station.

All passenger access will be closed at Queensboro Plaza from early Saturday morning until 5 a.m. Monday.

This will affect passengers on lines 7, N, Q and F.

The changes will take effect starting at midnight on Saturdays and ending at five in the morning on Mondays.

Among the most significant service modifications:

*There will be no service on the 7 and F lines between Queens and Manhattan.

*Line 7 will be operating between the Roosevelt Ave./Jackson Heights and Main Street stops.

*And parts of the Q, N, and F lines will be suspended.

For more information about the scheduled changes, you can visit the website MTA.org or call 5-1-1.

The MTA will work to make the station more accessible.

The main work consists of the installation of elevators from platform to mezzanine.

But while the station is closed they will also work on rehabilitating stairs and installing new security and communication systems.

At the moment it is not known if this work will continue in the coming months.

We contacted the MTA, who says they will let us know when appropriate.
