“This bonfire started burning in the middle of the track, they went back and the bonfire stayed lit, while another group continues trying to advance and pass the barrier set up by the Police,” Gunter Rave reported as the footage aired.

“They were throwing blunt objects at the Police, and they have responded with tear gas, some of them have been withdrawn, but again they try to try to advance to the Congress of the Republic,” added his companion.

Several of the protesters had their faces covered and used cardboard and garbage bags to keep the fire going. “Everything they find is introduced so that the fire does not go out, with their faces covered, some of them are facing the Police,” pointed out the television host.

After a few minutes, they managed to connect with the reporter, who explained that the bonfire was lit exactly between Abancay avenue and Jirón Leticia. .
