The teacher Néstor Fabián Velázquez (49) was sentenced to 10 years in prison for the crime of aggravated sexual abuse, several facts in real competition, to the detriment of his own daughter when they lived in Jardín América.
The sentence was handed down yesterday by Court Two of Posadas. “For me it is not worth it, but at least he will pay for what he did to me,” the victim commented in dialogue with El Territorio.
At the end of March, the defendant agreed to sign an abbreviated trial to avoid public exposure, although at the last minute he decided to step back, appointed a new private defender, and the oral debate was scheduled.
The victim testified last Tuesday and confirmed the accusation about his father.
Her complaint dates from January 2019, when she appeared before the Jardín América Women’s Police Station, although the arrest only became effective once it became publicly relevant to this newspaper, in July 2020.
“For me it’s Fabian, I haven’t called him dad for years. I can’t, it doesn’t come out anymore, ”he said then. She specified that her father began to subdue her from the age of 12 and her ordeal lasted until she was 18, when she moved to Posadas to study.
He assured that in addition to the continuous sexual abuse, he even controlled what type of underwear he wore, since he said that certain models deform the woman’s body.
“He raped me in our house. I saw his face and I already knew what he wanted, ”she graphed.

He recalled that “one day I posted a photo with my partner and my phone automatically began to ring, I answered and it was Fabian. He told me: “shitty asshole, change that photo now”, and he made me go back to Jardín, because if I didn’t listen to him he was going to look for me and shit with sticks, he told me. I had to leave and when I got home I was preparing a barbecue, as if nothing had happened”.
Through so many years of abuse and fear, he came to naturalize such behavior. “I thought he was taking care of me,” he admitted. Until in September 2016 when she attended his godson’s birthday party and sat down at the table for dinner, his phone began to ring with messages from her father demanding that he return home.
“I had a nervous breakdown and crying. Thank God my compadres supported me and I decided to leave my house. But I did not report it because I thought what people are going to say, ”she said.
Then her father followed her, as part of a macabre plan to maintain impunity. “I became so afraid that I did not feel my body. I couldn’t walk,” she graphed. At the time she found out that her cousin suffered the same thing: “I felt guilty for not having spoken before to prevent other victims.”
It is worth remembering that Ángel Norberto Velázquez (45), brother of Néstor Fabián, is also accused of sexual abuse to the detriment of his stepdaughter, a cause ready to bring to trial.
