Team Fortress 2 is still a popular game, despite all the problems it has had with bots, as well as the fact that it has now been a full 16 years since its release. But not only that it has its years behind it, it also hasn’t received a major update since then, so what applied in 2007 also applies today. Normally, such behavior is a clear warning sign, that you are about to close the store for good, but now there is information that this is not the case at all.

According to the website, which also doesn’t seem to have been updated since the game’s release, one has now surfaced blog post with the title “Attention, Steam Workshop Creators!” Here it is revealed that already this year an update will be released with gadgets, maps, effects, war paintings and other goodies. But it doesn’t stop there. The update will also include contributions from the game’s community, hence the title. No other platforms are included in the discussion, only Steam applies. For those interested in contributing, the deadline is May 1st.
