Yorgos Lanthimos took Hollywood by storm in 2015 with The Lobster, a romantic satire on the control that society exerts over our romantic and sexual relationships. Then he launched with The Killing of a Sacred Deer in 2017 and The Favourite in 2018, the latter his most acclaimed film. And now, this 2023 is back with Poor Things along with Emma Stone.

What is Poor Things about with Emma Stone?
Poor Things is an adaptation of the novel of the same name written by Alasdair Gray, and has as its protagonist Bella Baxter, a woman who tragically loses her life. His body falls into the hands of Dr. Godwin Baxter, a genius whose methods are dubious for the scientific community.
Doctor Godwin revives Bella, and he supplants his brain with that of an unborn baby. This is how the protagonist begins to know the world and all the things that it offers her. But as she discovers things, she begins to get frustrated, so she decides run off with her lover, a lawyer named Duncan Wedderburn.

At the end of April, Searchlight Pictures released the first images of Poor Things where we got our first look at Emma Stone, Willem Dafoe y Ramy Youssef. But now a teaser of just over 30 seconds has been released that is quite revealing.
In it we see Stone as Bella, who appears first in a bed where they experiment on her very much in the style of Frankenstein. Later, we see her in some scenarios where she is surprised by things: the clothes, the light, the music, the dance.
