Apple has revealed a release date for the third season of the series Ted Lassoas well as a first visual.

Apple has just announced the return of Ted Lasso in the spring, at a press conference of the Television Critics Association’s.

Bill Lawrence, the co-creator of the series, and Brett Goldstein, who plays Roy Kent and co-wrote the screenplay, also mentioned in half-words the return of the series. “I’ve seen footage, and it’s absolutely amazing,” Bill Lawrence said. Brett Goldstein said he was very proud of this season.

Ted versus Nate

An image of this third season has also been released. We see Ted Lasso and his former collaborator Nate Shelley, face to face, now become rivals. Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis) smiling and Nate (Nick Mohammed), face closed. In the background stands the treacherous Ruppert Mannion (Anthony Head), the ex-owner of AFC Richmond, the club the American coaches.

A reference to the end of the second season, which ended after Ruppert, the ex-husband of Rebecca Welton (Hannah Waddingham), recruited Nate Shelley to coach his club, rival AFC Richmond.

Ted Lasso, which arrived on Apple TV+ in August 2020, won over audiences with its endearing characters and feel-good story. The series is so popular, that fictional team AFC Richmond made it into the FIFA 2023 game.

Several statements from the creators of the series or its hero Jason Sudeikis, suggest that the series should only have three seasons.
