Since its popularization, the SVOD platform Netflix has multiplied the formats of television series to attract viewers. Like for example Money Heist, it’s a heist that awaits viewers who will follow a team of robbers trying to steal the contents of the most secure safe in the United States. A team led by Giancarlo Esposito (Better Call Saul, breaking Badbut also the great villain of the video game Far Cry 6) composed of Ava Mercer (Paz Vega), Judy Goodwin (Rosaline Elbay) and her husband Bob (Jai Courtney), Stan Loomis (Peter Mark Kendall) and RJ Acosta ( Jordan Mendoza).

There are therefore 5040 viewing possibilities (the eighth episode being imposed) that exist for this mini-series. A concept that seems to work with viewers for the moment, some of whom show their enthusiasm on social networks but also on review sites: RottenTomatoes has a score of 78% for the audience.

Conversely, the reception of this series is more mixed concerning the press. If the media underline the innovation and the novelty of such a concept, some evoke at best that “it does nothinglike The Hollywood Reporter, others are more critical like variety :
The concept ended up looking like a way to make a mediocre show worth discussing. I won’t turn people away from “Kaleidoscope” – if you think choosing your own path through its story sounds rewarding, you’ll probably find at least a little enjoyment in seeing some elements only hinted at at the beginning of your viewing will unfold later (…). But I warn you that seeing how it all fits together is much more fun and engaging than the story itself.
In any case, Kaleidoscope is not unanimous but has the merit of offering a different approach to spectators who will be able to consume it in their own way, especially since each episode corresponds to a specific moment linked to the robbery: 24 years before, 6 six weeks before, the day of the robbery… Enough to have a personalized viewing to deliver your own opinion.
