the vehicle kidnapped in CABA and that is linked to a gang of Colombian criminals / the day

Motochorros, polichorros, gangs specialized in entrances and escruches, street robbers of businesses, pedestrians and vehicles, piranhas and swindlers who use the old contraption from uncle’s story to exhaustion. These are the modalities that have been repeated the most for several years. Some involve more violence than others, but in the end, they all end up causing serious harm to the victims.

Every day, at least one neighbor from some sector of the Region ends up succumbing to the disastrous and ruinous plans of these criminals, who prove to be capable of anything in order to fulfill their mission.

To all this “crime fauna”, which until now remains indomitable, seems to be adding a new cause for concern.

These are gangs that would have their operational base in the city of Buenos Aires, with foreign labor and that would be choosing La Plata as a place to carry out their misdeeds. Above all because of the facilities they would find when entering and leaving the district, after carrying out a coup.

Although for years, according to Police statistics, the City has been suffering the attacks of thieves from suburban towns, based on the first indications, there is a substantial difference with the aforementioned gangs in regards to the origin and age of those involved, the number of people involved and the logistics and planning applied in the robberies.

As for the former, there is talk of attacks in which improvisation prevails, while in the case of foreign gangs, more elaborate maneuvers are observed that could even include surveillance tasks.

It is within this framework that, based on the case of the four Chilean citizens arrested for two robberies committed in City Bell against retirees on Christmas Eve and the three assaults carried out in recent months, in the same area, by four subjects of Colombian, the possibility of the irruption of a new criminal modality in the City is already being analyzed.

According to police sources, in the last hours four Colombian citizens were arrested, who were driving in a gray Renault Clio model vehicle, which the victims recognized and whose characteristics were provided in the corresponding complaints.

It was reported that the four people, including a 21-year-old girl, were captured after a brief chase that ended on General Paz avenue, near Balbín, in Buenos Aires.

This gang is awarded the robbery committed on October 15 in a house located at 14, between 503 and 504; the assault carried out on October 28 in a house of 509, between 12 and 13 and the robbery perpetrated on December 23 in calle 24, between 496 and 497.

In this context, once they were subdued and handcuffed, they were taken to the police station where they were formalized for the crimes of cover-up and repeated robberies, doubly aggravated by the offense and for having been committed in a town and in a gang.

Four cell phones, money, documentation, jewelry, clothing, caps, and hand tools were found in the seized vehicle.

As this newspaper reported, on December 24, in the afternoon, two retirees were surprised by four armed individuals who subjected them to a brutal beating to seize their belongings.

In addition, according to what the victim indicated to this newspaper, they ate and drank until they were sick of the entire table that they had prepared to receive Christmas.

“We are shocked by what happened. We were lucky to get some things back,” she said.

Those involved were arrested hours later in a sector of the Region driving in the victims’ vehicle and with a large part of the loot still in their possession.

It was possible to establish that the four involved are of Chilean nationality, that two of them are minors and that their domicile is set at Villa 31, in Retiro.

The robberies occurred in 13 a between 474 and 476 and in 14 c between 462 and 464, both from City Bell.

The thugs, who surprised the victims when they were preparing their Christmas Eve dinner, spared no violence and brutally punished them to seize their car, a Ford Fiesta, money, electronic devices, whiskey bottles, jewelry and even a collection of australes
