This Monday, April 10, the first Annual Solidarity Dinner of the Rotary Foundation – District 4895 of Rotary International will take place.

The Rotary Foundation is the economic support with which Rotary Clubs carry out service works in their respective communities, based on the areas of interest in which Rotarians take action, namely: “Maternal and Child Health”, “Disease Prevention” , “Supply of Drinking Water”, “Promotion of Education”, “Development of local economies”, “Promotion of Peace” and “Protection of the Environment”.

The appointment is next Monday, April 10 at 8:00 p.m. in “Tango Porteño”, located at Calle Cerrito 570, in the City of Buenos Aires.

The presence of 500 guests is expected, businessmen, merchants, community leaders, who, in addition to supporting the works carried out by the Foundation, will enjoy excellent cuisine, a very good artistic show and a moment of great camaraderie.

The dinner will be chaired by the Governor of District 4895, Virginia Gearwho will be accompanied by the president of the Committee of the Rotary Foundation EGD Ricardo Pieceby the Regional Coordinator of The Rotary Foundation, the EGD Victor Baez Nuñez, of the Republic of Paraguay.

Virginia Gear is the first woman to govern Rotary Club District 4895, a position she assumed on July 1 and will be in effect until the same day this year.

The coverage of the District is very broad: it covers the City of Buenos Aires and the northern and western areas of the province of Buenos Aires, with the town of América being the furthest point in the south and San Nicolás to the north. This vast radius of action, coordinated by Gear, is made up of 88 Rotary clubs, 10 Rotary satellite clubs, 17 Rotaract clubs, and 16 Interact clubs.

For the district’s first annual solidarity dinner, among other personalities, the President of the Argentine Rural Society, Nicholas Pino, the President of the Argentine Chamber of Commerce and Services, Natalio Mario Griman, and the general secretary of the Gastronomy of the City of Buenos Aires Dante Camano.

Goldsmith Juan Carlos Pallarols will donate a work -the rose of peace- to be auctioned at the Rotary meeting to be held in the month of November in the city of Valparaíso, Republic of Chile.
