Mass consumption companies assured that the measure did not take them by surprise, because the Program Fair Prices became a replacement for the previous Precios Cuidados, however They study internally what conditions will be applied, since they have not received details from the Ministry of Commerce.
Several of the mass consumption companies that are part of the Program, assured that the measure “is working”, and maintain that “There are companies that are signing agreements so that their suppliers know the prices agreed and each of the links have similar conditions”.
One of the criticisms that the Program of control of prices is that its implementation reached the large chains and generates a price gap with local businesses, which are supplied in wholesale supermarkets. In addition, according to specialists, high inflation made prices “quickly out of date and produced shortages in the gondolas”.
The same regulation specifies that “If it is impossible to supply any product for reasons beyond the control of the companies, must give reliable notice to the Undersecretary of Policies for the Internal Market within a period of no more than 72 hours.
