The Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Nation confirmed weeks ago what the schedule of holidays will be for the year 2023 through Decree No. 764, which bears the signature of the president Alberto Fernandez. The standard was published in the Official Gazette and foresees for the year that will begin next Sunday 14 immovable holidays, 2 transferable and 3 for tourist purposes, which accounts for a total of 19 holidays.

So, sadly, the first holiday of the year will be, precisely, on Sunday. The New Year will be celebrated on January 1, which officially constitutes the first of the free days of 2023.

The first long weekend, meanwhile, will be in February: from Saturday the 18th of that month to Tuesday the 21st. All citizens will have the chance to enjoy a series of four free days thanks to the celebration of the Carnival Holidays, which will take place on Monday 20 and Tuesday 21 of the second month of the year.
