Today is a good day for fans of indie games, as Nintendo surprisingly announced that the expected Sports Story It is now available on the Nintendo Switch, as it can already be purchased and downloaded in its digital version through the Nintendo eShop. Sports Story was developed and published by Side Bar Games.
For five days Nintendo has been celebrating the holidays with a series of videos dedicated to indie video games for Nintendo Switch. Today the fifth Inside the House of Indies: Holiday Event on the official Nintendo YouTube channel, where we saw the Sports Story launch trailer for Nintendo Switch.
It had already been announced that Sports Story was going to arrive sometime in December 2022 on the Nintendo Switch, but fans had been worried, since an exact date for its release had not been given. The reason for this is that Nintendo was preparing a surprise release and we can already buy Sports Story for Nintendo Switch.
Sports Story is now available on the Nintendo eShop for a price of $178.99 MXN, so you won’t have to spend much to play the sequel to the acclaimed Golf Story. which came to the Nintendo Switch five years ago and has remained an exclusive ever since.
Nintendo’s Inside the House of Indies: Holiday Event wrapped up today, so the surprise release of Sports Story was the icing on the cake. Throughout the week we saw several interesting titles that will arrive soon on the Nintendo Switch, so if you are a fan of indie I recommend that you take a tour of the Nintendo channel.
Some of the games we looked at in today’s episode are Dust & Neon, Sea of Stars, and Undying, with the latter confirmed for a Spring 2023 release.
