A Lord of the Rings game centered on Gollum
Far from being the most attractive character in the saga, Gollum will however have a game centered on him. Named The Lord of the Rings: Gollum. This title was officially announced in March 2019. Developed by Daedalic Entertainment and co-published by the French company Nakon and Daedalic Entertainment, the player embodies the emblematic creature who will begin his adventure in the jails of Barad-dûr, from which he will have to escape. Initially scheduled for September 1, 2022, this game was later postponed. The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will have infiltration and reflection phases accompanied by the two personalities that tug at this poor soul and its destructive attraction for the ring.
A title players won’t see until April
In a statement on Twitter, Daedalic Entertainment announced the postponement of the release of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum. In parallel, the co-publisher Nacon published a financial report which mentions that the title will be released in the first half of the fiscal year 2023-2024, which means that it will probably see the light of day between April and September 2023. More than to hope that it is not yet postponed by then.
