Prime Video has decided to satisfy the requests of fans by sharing a first clip of the highly anticipated second season of Invincible. The animated series based on Robert Kirkman’s work of the same name has enjoyed great success from critics and audiences since its debut in 2021, with a score on Rotten Tomatoes over 90%.

The trailer itself will be released shortly, but in the meantime the launch window has been confirmed: end 2023. The new season will see the return of Steven Yeun as the superhero Invincible. Also returning alongside him are the names of Nolan Grayson / Omni-Man by JK Simmons, Sandra Oh, Zazie Beetz, Gillian Jacobs, Andrew Rannells and many others. A possible third season has not yet been announced, but Robert Kirkman had teased fans in the past, suggesting a possible appearance by Savage Dragon, one of the few characters in the Image Comics to have appeared on the pages of Invincibleplaying an important role in the storyline The Invincible War.

From the comic co-created by Kirkman and Cory Walker and illustrated by Ryan Ottley, Invincible is an adult superhero series (available on Prime Video) which revolves around Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun), a teenager like any other except that his father Nolan (JK Simmons) is the most powerful superhero on the planet: Omni-Man. Shortly after his seventeenth birthday, Mark begins to develop powers of his own and enters his father’s tutelage. The series is described as suspenseful, full of action and emotion, and is based on touching and heartwarming moments of love, friendship and humanity.
