Broadcast for the first time on April 21, 2021 on France 2, the series The school of life had the ambition to tell the life of a high school, all with a common message: beyond school education, the school also allows learning about life for both students and their teachers. Centered on a different issue (alcoholism, radicalization, abuse, etc.), each episode featured a student facing a difficulty and his teacher who tries to solve the problem while having to manage his own worries. A nice declaration to national education led by the producer, Nagui, whose two parents worked in education. A successful first season since it had gathered an average of 3 million viewers. Carried by Guillaume Labbé (who recently confided in his physical change in I promise you) in the role of Vincent Picard as a history and geography teacher, this burst of episodes shot in several Parisian high schools had won many votes.

The school of life: Julie de Bona in place of Guillaume Labbé

For this new season, same recipe, but a new face! Indeed, like the series from which it was inspired (30 vies, a Quebec series), the French version also offers to focus each season on a new teacher. After the hero of I promise you, it is therefore Julie de Bona who succeeded the actor. In these six new episodes, the actress, currently at the theater alongside Elie Semoun, plays Alexandra Delage, a French and theater teacher. A new version still as strong, both in intrigue and casting, not to mention the very present humor, in particular thanks to Mélanie Page (who told us about the reaction of her husband, Nagui, to her character) and Bruno Sanches.

The School of Life: A sublime final scene…

Once again, this evening the emotion should be at the rendezvous with the final episode of this season. In it, Alexandra Delage will be confronted with a student returning after a depression. If in appearance, it seems to have recovered, the malaise seems deeper. For her part, the teacher will have to face the fear of having to have surgery and the consequent risks. Once again, Julie de Bona excels in this role of empathic teacher, but also through her touching performance as a victim of the disease. Several scenes are likely to touch your heart like the one, which could not be more romantic, that the teacher shares with her companion Yassine (the formidable Riad Gahmi) or the one that she shares with Michel (Patrick Chesnais) at the hospital. . Also note the final scene where all the characters of the season are present. Take out your tissues…
