According to SL, it is not possible to say exactly how many departures will be canceled before the end of the day, but it is estimated that the traffic situation will look the same as earlier in the week, with roughly twenty percent of the traffic being driven.
– We don’t replace the trains outright, but we constantly try to optimize the replacement buses that are available, see where the need is greatest and where the passengers want to travel, says Henrik Palmér, press communicator at SL.
Train drivers gather for the third day
According to the train drivers, morale is still high during the last day of the strike. For the third day in a row, train drivers have gathered at the central station in Stockholm instead of going to their work shifts.
– We have said that it will last for three days so it will be the last day, then you don’t know how it will be in the future, if nothing happens there could be another strike, says train driver Mathias Söder.
That MTR has sued the striking train drivers in the labor court of SEK 6,000 per person, did not come as a surprise to the train drivers.
