The United States ambassador to Panama, Mari Carmen Aponte, highlighted the alliance between the American aircraft manufacturer Boeing and the Panamanian airline Copa during a visit to the Tocumen Airport Maintenance Center together with Pedro Heilborn, CEO of Copa.

“Let’s continue doing great things together by promoting trade alliances that benefit both countries through good companies,” said the diplomat. “I was able to see how the successful commercial alliance with the American company Boeing benefits passengers from all over the world. Copa Airlines is the leading airline in direct flights from Panama to the United States with 15 destinations currently, a number that continues to grow, she added.

For his part, the CEO of Copa, Pedro Heilborn, recalled that “since the beginning of our alliance with Boeing and the arrival of modern Boeing 737 aircraft, we have been able to strengthen the hub of the Americas and help the country, which greatly benefits from the international connectivity.

As revealed by REPORTUR.us, Copa has completed 15 routes to the United States with the flights launched in the last two months. Austin and Baltimore join Tampa, Miami, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, New York, Denver, Washington, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

For the first time, Copa flies to the state of Texas on the route to Austin, becoming Copa’s 15th destination in the United States with four weekly frequencies. Previously, it opened the route to Baltimore, also with four weekly frequencies.
