A Florida woman was arrested after biting off the top of another woman’s ear during a fight over e-cigarettes and alcohol on July 4, according to the Bay County Sheriff’s Office.
Officers responded to a battery with battery call at a home in Callaway, a suburb of Panama City, shortly after midnight. An investigation revealed that the incident occurred at a party next door at 6526 Olokee Street, attended by unsupervised minors.
When a fight broke out between several men at the house party, 23-year-old Macy Regan tried to get out and walk to her house next door, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.
That’s when 18-year-old Dixie Stiles confronted Regan, accusing her of stealing vape pens and alcohol.
Regan allegedly pulled a 9mm pistol from her waistband, which Stiles shoved out of the way. A physical altercation ensued in which Regan bit the top of Stiles’ ear, the sheriff’s office said in the statement.
The women received multiple bruises and lacerations in the fight and Stiles’ ear could not be reattached, the sheriff’s office said.
Both women were arrested. Stiles was charged with assault, while Regan was charged with felony assault causing bodily harm.
The incident is under investigation.
