The New York Police Department is trying to identify the youths caught on video vandalizing a police vehicle in Union Square, Manhattan.on Friday when the “stremer”, Kai Cenat, offered to give away a PlatStation 5 on the site even though he did not have permission, so hundreds of people crowded causing riots.

The authorities released photos of six of the eight rioters estimated to be between the ages of 14 and 18 who kicked, jumped and danced on top of the NYPD police car during the chaos that had broken out and left at least seven injured, they said.

The images of the event show one of the minors jumping on top of the parked police vehicle and dancing while others took turns kicking in the doors and windows.

The NYPD said that amid the violence, the eight youths pounced on the police car at around 3:30 p.m. before moving forward and getting out of thereaccording to the New York Post.

For its part, the public relations company that represents Cenat issued an apology for the incident.

“We recognize that our audience and influence are growing, and with that comes increased responsibility,” Erica Tucker, vice president of AMP Group, said in a statement.

“We are deeply disappointed by the outbreak of disorderly conduct that affected innocent people and businesses, and we do not condone such behavior.”.

However, the stremer published images of the violence on the internet, which caused criticism from some users of social networks.

“Keep the Play Stations to yourself next time,” Instagram commenter mishmosh1127 wrote.

Adams applauded the NYPD for handling “a very dangerous and volatile situation” and bringing it “to a level of resolution without loss of life or substantial property damage.”
