With the departure of Viva Air and Ultra Air, and despite the expansion of the capacity of airlines such as Avianca, Latam and Wingo; Decameron will seek agreements with Jetsmart, which has announced its entry into the Colombian domestic market in December, Ximena Gómez, Decameron’s commercial vice president told REPORTUR.co.
Since June, the Colombian hotel company has seen an improvement in the air offer and in prices, “the airlines have expanded their capacities to all national destinations. We make permanent alliances with them to offer excellent tourist packages to our clients,” Gómez told REPORTUR.co.
And he added that “we also continue to monitor the arrival of new airlines, such as Jetsmart for example, to reach important agreements,” Gómez told this newspaper.
Likewise, Gómez highlighted that international destinations are doing well due to the drop in the dollar. “In international destinations, the drop in the dollar has helped us, we continue to boost destinations like Panama in an important way,” he told REPORTUR.co Gomez.

For the second semester, the Colombian hotel company will focus on consolidating the segment from at the moment to REPORTUR.co, Gomez. (Decameron goes for corporate with 25 rooms in 14 of its hotels).
“The holiday season has been very positive for Decameron, we have managed occupancies above 85% in Colombia. We continue to strongly promote our destination San Andrés, especially promoting our Decameron Aquarium, a beautiful hotel surrounded by the sea of 5 colors, a natural pool, à la carte restaurants and lots of fun”, Gómez said at the time.
