A man identified as Iván Manuel Andino Núñez, 24 years old and a resident of Carolina faces charges for allegedly trying to change a false check in events reported on Friday at First Bank in Plaza Escorial.
According to the police report, Andino Núñez tries to cash a check for $1,130 from a construction company that had not authorized it. Subsequently, this individual was placed under arrest on the premises of the establishment.
The man had an electronic shackle for a federal drug conspiracy case.
A judge found cause for arrest on all counts: felony misappropriation, fraud, and possession and transfer of forged documents.
They imposed a $15,000 bail on him, which he did not provide, for which he was imprisoned in Bayamón.
The preliminary hearing was scheduled for June 21.
