Juarez City.- The Municipal Government in conjunction with the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS), seeks to build a semi-Olympic pool to the southeast of the city, it was reported through a statement.

The mayor, Cruz Pérez Cuéllar, informed that the project is in process and the investment would be made by the IMSS, while the Municipality will be in charge of providing the land.

Until today, the semi-Olympic pool is expected to be located in the Parajes de Oriente subdivision, between Soneto, Río del Norte and Fortín de la Soledad streets.

In addition, apart from the semi-Olympic pool, it is expected to have a multipurpose court, a basic gym, children’s games, a green area and sidewalks, among other things.

“We are in this process of the pool, doing the management and putting the land and other facilities can be built there that the Municipal Government would already do but we are in the process, however I am optimistic that it is something that will be done in this administration” said the mayor.

The general secretary of IMSS, Marcos Bucio Mújica, pointed out that President Pérez Cuéllar has already sent a proposal for the land and the area is being analyzed, so the project will be monitored.
