After almost 5 years without seeing each other, a Cuban mother desperately hugged her daughter and burst into tears from the emotion of being reunited.
“Happiest moment since I left,” he wrote in TikTok the Cuban resident in the United States, identified as Lisbesita Hernández, showing the emotional moment where she hugs her mother first and then her sister.
Similar scenes are regularly repeated in Cuba, where thousands of families have been forced to separate.
Dozens of people commented that they longed to hug their loved ones again although they had no idea how long they would have the opportunity.
“I count my days and every second, just for that hug,” someone wrote.
“Oh, how I cry with these videos, when will I see my family again,” asked another Cuban.
A Cuban emigrant who visited the island in recent days after being out of the country for 10 yearswas received with great joy and emotion not only by his closest relatives, but also by many friends and neighbors in his neighborhood, according to an emotional video published on Tik Tok.
The pictures showed the expressions of jubilation and infinite emotion both of the newcomer -who arrived with his wife and his minor son- and of relatives and close friends.
