Camille (Audrey Tautou) is a young woman who survives by cleaning offices and who especially does not want to return to her passion, drawing, without mentioning why. Philibert (Laurent Stocker) is a young aristocrat passionate about history living in a large apartment, who suffers from stuttering and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Then there is Franck (Guillaume Canet), a talented cook whose only weakness seems to be his hilarious grandmother, Paulette (Françoise Bertin), who only lives for the happiness of her grandson. While everything opposes them, these four special characters will find themselves sharing accommodation in Philibert’s large apartment. A cult film which is already 16 years old, since it was released in 2007, and which we cannot imagine otherwise. Charlotte Gainsbourg replaced after snowboarding accident
The director, Claude Berri, revealed in the press kit of‘Together, that’s all that he wanted Charlotte Gainsbourg for the role of Camille, even though he had “nothaven’t started writing the script”. He said he even started filming with the actress, before she had a snowboarding accident and had to end their collaboration. Following this, Claude Berri contacted Audrey Tautou to replace her. For the record, he met him on a flight to New York, just after announcing that he was adapting the book on which the film was inspired. And according to her, the actress already knew “that it would be Charlotte”. Yet, “she told her agent that if Charlotte couldn’t make the film, she would like to play the role of Camille”. A few weeks later, she got it.
