Tragic discovery in Colorado: they find a lifeless body on a trail and triggers a homicide investigation

DENVER, Colorado – A body was discovered Tuesday morning along the Highline Canal Trail at the intersection of South Quebec Street and East Iliff Avenue, sparking a homicide investigation in Arapahoe County.

At around 5:30 am, a person called the ACSO reporting the presence of a man on the trail. Upon arrival at the scene, authorities found the man’s body approximately 50 yards up South Quebec Street, on the trail.

The man’s death is being investigated as a homicide, although no information on his cause of death was provided. The Arapahoe County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the victim’s name at a later time, once next of kin have been notified.

Anyone with information about what happened is asked to call the Crime Stop Hotline at 720-913-7867. There is a reward of up to $2,000 and the call can be anonymous.
