After a series of earthquakes with an epicenter in the Basin of Mexico, the National Seismological Service launched a special report on these movements.

The main earthquake was 3.0 and had an epicenter in the Álvaro Obregón mayor’s office, after which 13 micro-seisms were recorded until 11:00 a.m. on May 11. These movements were produced by a normal type fault.

At 10:55 a.m., the National Seismological Service (SSN) recorded another microseism of magnitude 1.2 with epicenter 3 km northeast of the mayor’s office Magdalena Contrerasin Mexico City.

At 10:32, the National Seismological Service (SSN) registered an earthquake of magnitude 4.2 with epicenter 69 km northeast of Cerritos, San Luis Potosi.

At 09:58 hours, the National Seismological Service (SSN) recorded another microseism of magnitude 1.3 with epicenter 3 km northeast of the mayor’s office Magdalena Contrerasin Mexico City.

The National Seismological Service (SSN) corrected on the magnitude of the earthquake registered at 09:05 in Mexico City. Fixed from 1.7 to 2.1.

Another micro-earthquake in CDMX

The National Seismological Service (SSN) reported another microseism of magnitude 1.9 with epicenter 4 km northeast of the Magdalena Contreras mayor’s office at 09:25 hours.

The National Seismological Service (SSN) explained that the microseism had a magnitude of 1.7 with epicenter 4 km northeast of the mayor’s office Magdalena ContrerasMexico City, at 09:05 o’clock.

New microseisms in CDMX

According to Santiago Taboada, mayor of Benito Juárez, there was a new earthquake in Mexico City.

Prior to this movement, the National Seismological reported another two at 07:25 and 08:38 hours.

At 04:45 hours, the National Seismological Service (SMN) registered an earthquake of magnitude 3.3 with epicenter 11 km west of Cihuatlan, in Jalisco.

During the early hours of Thursday, May 11, the National Simological Service (SSN) reported one more aftershock of the magnitude 3.0 telluric movement registered in the Magdalena Contreras, CDMX on Wednesday, May 10 at 10:20 p.m.

counting the recent magnitude 2.0 earthquake in the same epicenter, so far there have been 8 replicas.

Behind the earthquake of magnitude 3.0 registered in the Magdalena Contreras, CDMX on Wednesday, May 10 at 10:20 p.m., at least 7 aftershocks with epicenter at the same point as the first tremor.

According to the SSN, it explained that in the 20 minutes after the 3.0 earthquake, the replicas, which have remained between magnitude 1.3, 1.6, 1.8 and the most intense was 2.3, according to official information.

At 12:30 p.m. Thursday May 11no telluric movements have been recorded.
