Tuesday is the deadline to apply for federal flood aid in Broward

People whose primary Broward residences were affected by severe flooding last April have until Tuesday, June 27 to apply for federal assistance.

The federal emergency management agency (FEMA) may be able to help you with rent assistance and other disaster-related expenses. In addition, FEMA may also offer to help with essential home repairs not covered by insurance.

Property owners and renters in Broward County can call 800-621-3362, visit a Recovery Center, visit the page DisasterAssistance.gov or use the FEMA application.

The Recovery Center at Hortt Park in Fort Lauderdale will be open through Thursday, June 29 from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm
